I just got a like new '95 model with 3600 miles on it. So far I love the Savage, but want to change just a few things. First, have ordered a replacement seat. The OE seat looks too 1970's to me. Also ordered a Supertrap to change the sound. But after reading comments of others I'm a little afraid of tackling this, re: fit problems. Maybe should return this for Jardine instead? What is the best technique for removal of the old muffler? I am not looking for too loud of a sound, but dislike current sound, and there seems to be a old VW bug style whistle in it at lower speeds too. I'm in Mississippi so I'm enjoying riding year round too. I appreciate all the information I've learned here, this board is one reason I bought this bike. It's been a blast so far. Thanks.
